Step One
Sand blending area with 800 grit sandpaper. Make sure you give your self enough space to blend the base coat and the clear.
Step Two
Clean panel with wax and grease remover, once dry lightly wipe your panel with a tack cloth
Step Three
Spray one medium wet coat on Mavic Blender over your repair area and half way into your blend area that was sanded with 800 grit sandpaper. Blender will appear milky with a blue hue. It will dry clear, do not move to the next step until the blender is 100% dry
Step four
Apply 2-3 coats of Mavic H20 Base Coat or until coverage is achieved. Spray your first coat just over the repair area, and apply the following coats into the blender. Do not spray your base coat past the blender. Base coat will have a light blue hue when wet, wait for base coat to dry and have a matte appearance before applying your next coat.
Step Five
Apply 2 coats of clear coat, spraying over the whole area sanded. After each coat apply a wet coat of spot blender to the edge of your blend. We highly recommend using a 2k clear for the best results.
